This was taken in Japan, part of an art school show that I wandered into whilst exploring the streets of Kyoto. I liked this piece; it reminded me of all the pictures I drew when I was at school – heads melting off the hands they were cradled in but this student went that step further. The sculpture is very well designed and made; the uniform and accessories perfectly detailed, the message felt clear.
