I don’t really buy fizzy pop at all so I am not sure if this is an entirely new phenomenon. Bought this Coke bottle in Paris and immediately noticed it had a short screw top and neck. Yes I realise this is not amazing news but it has changed the dynamic of using the bottle.
The change has made the bottle harder to drink from – lips could not get a good purchase on the short neck – but the top is now a lot easier to remove / replace as only a 1/3 turn is needed to engage the top in comparison to the multi turn screw action I remember in all bottles.
Yawn.
